Broadway Personnel began in 1987. This small company later grew and found its home in the Empire State Building for over twenty years. Now located right across the street from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden on 34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues, Broadway Personnel has been making employment placements for over thirty years.
Its founder, Jay Wolk, had a goal after working in a large NY employment agency that he could do a better job for clients with higher pay. The focus of placements has evolved from legal, accounting and banking to health care to accommodate the needs in the ever changing NY City market.
Broadway Personnel has made over 20,000 successful placements with a staff of about 10 who work as one team. Each team member is a crucial part of the business and the business functions as one close knit unit. The careful selection of its team members is the type of attention the business uses when making placements. The business has been kept small and intimate purposefully so that it can cater to the individual needs of its clients with endless personal attention. The motto of its founder is driven by the old proverb that if you ''give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.'' Broadway Personnel drives its business with the understanding and mission that if you offer people jobs then they can take care of themselves and their families and the world is a better and more productive place.
